Allegory Model TPEQEA
The message of the Allegory of the Cave can be different for everyone. The message of the allegory is that some people are blinded by the truth because all they know are lies. An example of this would be the people shackled in the cave. Socrates states, “To them, I said, the truth would be literally nothing but the shadows of the images.” Some people only see shadows (lies) because of their perspective. It is important to know the difference between the truth and a lie.
